What would it be like to go into work and have God tell you just what you should do in order to get the promotion you've had your eye on? Wouldn't it be great if God told you precisely every step you should take in raising your children? Imagine how the world would view the church if the way we lived were a constant witness to God's guidance and power in our lives.

During this Lenten season, we want to take a look at the way the Israelites demonstrated God’s presence and power as they set out to conquer the Promised Land. We want to look at the Book of Joshua for clues to help us learn how we too can know God’s encouragement as we set out to “conquer the land” in our lives. We want to ask how we can experience interior victories just as dramatic as the military victories depicted in Joshua.

The Way of Victory. The Book of Joshua tells the story of how the Israelites cooperated with God and saw the fulfillment of his promise to give them a land of their own.
