Fred Parker picked up the gun and held it to his head, no longer fighting the dark thoughts that enveloped him. My life is a mess. My marriage is a pretense. Things are never going to change. There's no hope. . . .
He was starting to squeeze the trigger, when a bloodcurdling scream echoed through the room. Opening his eyes, he saw his wife looking on in horror. Carole, too, felt trapped and miserable in their marriage, seeing no way out unless Fred died first. But she had never wished him dead, never wanted him to go like this.

What an absolutely beautiful story of God’s grace in action. I too had my marriage renewed through God’s grace. Gradual as was theirs but sweet like drinking from a fresh mountain stream.
