Nature illustrates the harmony of life in this world. For example, trees provide us with oxygen to sustain our lives while we provide them with the carbon dioxide they need.

Bees get nectar and pollen from flowers, and by doing so, pollinate the plants. Perhaps we can take a cue from such examples. We can live cooperatively rather than in competition with others. We diminish our stresses when we give of ourselves to others and receive from them what we need.

“Help me to be open and to recognize how healing is this world in which I live, dear God of all creation. May I appreciate the natural world you’ve given me as my home. May I be grateful for the gift of being part of the workings of the earth. Please help me release my stresses as I rest in the comfort of the world around me. Fill all of creation, and especially me, with praise of you.”
