The glory of creation is celebrated in this psalm. When we look at the magnificence of the universe, we see the glory of God revealed. The beauty of creation itself should be a constant reminder to us to live a life pleasing to the Creator.

The heavens are telling the glory of God;
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech,

1. How could I grow in appreciation of the beauty in the humblest things around me?
I think I can keep growing by being aware of all this beauty as I take my walk each day and/or sit outside at night and look at the sky, No mere man on earth could ever have created this.
2. Yes, I do thank God for all the beauty I see in the world and all that I am still to discover on a daily basis. I can’t imagine not doing so but I know that I went through a period in my life when I was blind to all this beauty before me. With the grace of God I pray that I never forget to thank and praise God again for all of creation.
I agree with the last comment; there was a time in my life when I didn’t really, really notice all the beauty around me, and all the ways that God shows us the glories of Creation and the gifts He has showered on each and every one of us. I pray for our whole world, that all people will look around and open their eyes, as well, to see the beauty that exists, and then let that beauty open their hearts to God and to one another.
