Cathy, a woman in her early sixties, found out six months ago that she was dying of cancer. Cathy had always seemed very confident and determined to live life to the fullest. But both she and her husband Rick fear that her confidence and strong will may not be enough to help her withstand the inevitable.
Joseph, a poor villager in Sudan, is dying of AIDS. His wife passed away two years ago, and all three of his children will probably die young as well. While he is getting weaker by the day, Joseph is too consumed with making provisions for his children to dwell on his own death. He knows the day is coming when he will be too sick to do anything, and he dreads that thought. For now, he is content to avoid thinking about it and to pour everything into his children instead.

In addition, we each have important tasks of ministry to offer to those who will remain. This article is one everyone should read and its wisdom heed.
