2012 Lent Bible Study

For Lent 2012, The Word Among Us will sponsor a free online Bible study. The topic of our Lenten Bible study will be prayer. There will be six sessions, one for each week of Lent. Kevin Perrotta, an award-winning Catholic writer and editor, will be leading the online discussion.

Each session will have a five-minute video, and there will be a question or topic for discussion for each day of the week. All materials (videos, questions, and online discussion) will be available for free on our Facebook page. You can also find all videos on this channel vimeo.com/channels/lentbiblestudy

Join us this Lent, starting on Ash Wednesday, Feburary 22, as we journey together as an online community of Scripture readers.

In this Bible study, Kevin selects six readings from Scripture—one Old Testament and one New Testament text for each spiritual discipline. Each passage confronts us with some of the most important aspects of these practices, showing us why we undertake them and how they can transform us so that we become more like the persons that God has created us to be. The Bible study can be purchased online at our bookstore at http://bookstore.wau.org. It is available in print or ebook format.
